We are so excited you purchased one of our candles!  We want you to fully enjoy your candle so make sure you follow these guidelines. 

1.  Burn baby burn. So you are ready to light your new BFF?!  Make sure that you burn long enough for the melted wax to reach the edge of the candle vessel.  We recommend doing this each time you light your candle.  However, don't burn for more than 4 or 5 hours at a time.
2. Trim That Wick. Your wooden wick will need to be trimmed to about 1/8" to 1/4" before relighting your candle every time.  You can trim with a candle trimmer, scissors, or even just pinch the black stuff off with your fingers.
3. Be Safe. I probably don't need to tell all you smart people this, but the lawyer in me wants to remind you to never leave your candle burning unattended, burn your candle out of reach of kids and pets, place on an even surface (and depending on the surface, put something underneath to protect your table or counter), and never try to move the candle with hot wax or sides.
4. Reuse. Our candle vessels can be cleaned out and re-used after your are done with your candle.  We don't recommend burning your candle once it reaches about 1/2" of wax.  You can pour hot water into the vessel (be careful!) and then, after a few minutes, the wax and wick should float to the top.  Discard the wax and wick and then wash the jar thoroughly.
